Meet & greet FAQs

What happens if my flight is delayed? +
We track all incoming flights in real time. If your flight is delayed, we know before you land — and we adjust accordingly. There’s no need to call us from the plane or the baggage hall. Your representative will simply be there when you arrive, however late that may be.
Where exactly do I meet the Value Car representative? +
Our representative will be waiting in the arrivals hall of your terminal, holding a sign with your name. At Dublin Airport, please confirm your terminal (T1 or T2) when booking. At Shannon, Cork and Kerry, there is a single arrivals area so you simply follow the signs.
What documents do I need to collect my car? +
You’ll need a valid full driving licence (held for at least 2 years), a credit or debit card in the driver’s name, and your booking confirmation. International visitors should also bring their passport. We’ll confirm the full requirements when you book.
Is there an extra charge for the meet & greet service? +
No. The meet & greet is part of what makes Value Car Rental different — it’s included as standard at all our airport locations. There are no extra service fees. The price you’re quoted includes everything.
Can I drop the car off at a different airport? +
Yes — and unlike the big chains, we don’t charge extra for one-way hires between our Irish locations. Pick up in Dublin and drop off in Cork, Shannon or Kerry. Northern Ireland drop-offs are also included at no extra cost.
Can I add a second driver? +
Yes. Additional drivers can be added to your rental. Both drivers must be present at collection and provide a valid driving licence. There is a small additional driver fee — please enquire when booking for current pricing.
